Dwyane Wade was always a little different than your average NBA superstar. Not the biggest name coming out of Marquette into the pros, Wade kept his lunch bucket mentality even when it became evident he had domination-level talent.
Even today, the retired Wade his happy to celebrate the accomplishments of others — even when they come at his expense. And especially when he’s celebrating another dominant talent who never left his lunch pale behind — Kobe Bryant, that is.

Wade essentially calls fail on himself on this play, where Bryant “locks (him) up.” It’s the grounded version of being posterized, that basketball ignominy where a player is rudely dunked on. Shy away from it? Not Wade — he brings attention to it himself!
