The protagonist of the Lifetime movie Dirty Little Secret — which is inspired by true events — is 17-year-old Lucy (Lizzie Boys). For years, Lucy has kept friends away from her house because every crevice of space inside is filled with stuff her mother, nurse Joanna (Melissa Joan Hart) hoards.
As seen in the trailer above, Joanna is affronted when considered “a crazy hoarder” and spirals out of control. After a tragedy, Joanna’s daughter Lucy faces an emotional ultimatum: continue to hide her mother’s secret or expose it to the world.
When Hart shared the photo collage below from the set of Dirty Little Secret, she wrote: “Get ready to see me in a total departure from my usual comedy and rom com to some deep, dark moments.”
Dirty Little Secret premieres on Lifetime on Saturday, June 11 at 8 pm.
