On Season 13 of Shark Tank, entrepreneurs Bechara Jaoudeh and Renee Heath pitched their “ap-peel-ing” kitchen gadget, Banana Loca. The product cores a banana while still in its peel so a user can fill the straightened banana with another fun flavored food like peanut butter, jelly, honey, or Nutella.

Bechara and Renee had the good fortune of pitching in front of billionaire Mark Cuban and Kevin “Mr. Wonderful” O’Leary who both got involved in the Banana Loca demonstration on Shark Tank. See photo above.
The Banana Loca team went into the Tank seeking an investment of $250,000 in exchange for 25 percent equity, and accepted an offer from Cuban and O’Leary: $250,000 for 25 percent plus a $3 royalty until they get their investment back.
Since the Shark Tank episode aired in December 2021, Banana Loca continues to received 5-star reviews on Amazon. As one verified customer reports: “I bought it and i don’t even have any kids at home anymore.” He/she adds: “It keeps me from eating junk when I’m out. Sweet and healthy and travels well. Like on a plane.“
