Le-Glue is a non-permanent adhesive created specifically to glue together structures made out of building blocks like Lego® and Mega Bloks®. The inventor of the patented Le-Glue, 12-year-old Tripp Phillips from Dalton, Georgia, pitched his product on the Season 10 premiere of Shark Tank in 2018.
Tripp (with his father and little sister) went into the Tank seeking a $80,000 investment in exchange for 15 percent equity of the company.
Tripp accepts an offer from Kevin “Mr. Wonderful” O’Leary: $80K with 50/50 in royalties until he gets his $80k back and then drops to a 20% shareholder.
In 2020, Le-Glue reports that since Shark Tank “our sales have increased by 500 percent” and Tripp “received the honor of being considered one of the Greatest Pitches of All Time on ABC 20/20.”
Le-Glue has also been supporting its local community by using their Le-Glue mixer machine to make hand sanitizers for health care workers and first responders during the COVID pandemic.
