The 1992 cult classic horror film Candyman (which is based on the short story “The Forbidden” by Clive Barker) is getting a sequel 28 years later. And the script is co-written by Oscarwinning screenwriter Jordan Peele (Get Out, Us).
Candyman is set in the Cabrini Green housing projects in Chicago, where many residents are said to have believed the supernatural killer Candyman could be summoned by repeating his name five times while looking into a mirror.
In the 2020 film, actress Teyonah Parris (Lysistrata in Spike Lee’s Chi-Raq) plays the protagonist Anthony’s (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II) girlfriend Brianna Cartwright.
When not on a movie set, Teyonah Parris is flaunting her curves and sometimes in a sexy swimsuit as seen in the series above which she captioned: “Shea Butta Baby.”
Teyonah captioned the beach pics above: “Glowin’ & Gigglin’.”
P.S. The release of Candyman has been moved to September 25, 2020.
