You may have seen NBA superstar Trae Young recently in the NBA’s big at-home H-O-R-S-E shooting competition. The dynamic Atlanta Hawks guard showed the world his personal driveway hoop — and the Oklahoma winds too — as he battled retired NBA legend Chauncey Billups. It was good TV, considering the NBA is currently closed for business.

Not too far from Trae’s windy Oklahoma driveway is Ink Plug Tattoo Co. in downtown OKC. That’s where owner and tattoo artist Big Homie Joe gave Trae his latest ink — and it’s awesome.

Big Homie Joe reports: “Trae’s tattoo is a staircase leading to Heaven’s Gates with a couple of doves and clouds. He sent me an idea of something he kind of wanted so I put a design together and he loved it. It took around 4-ish hours to do. The whole time we watched wild n out, music videos, and talked about how Drake is a goat. Lol. He’s definitely a real down to earth guy.”

The artist and athlete have a real connection obviously. They know the same territory like the backs of their talented hands. As Joe says: “I’m from Oklahoma born and raised — same place Trae is from.”
