N’Kosi Perry is the redshirt sophomore at Miami who’s stepping in for injured redshirt freshman starting quarterback Jarren Williams in Friday’s home game against No. 20 Virginia Cavaliers. Williams injured his shoulder and was replaced by Perry during last week’s game against Virginia Tech.
Although VT won the game 42-35, Perry threw four touchdowns. Ohio State transfer Tate Martell will be Perry’s backup quarterback against Virginia.
Days before the big Virginia game, Perry has been active on social media getting Hurricanes fans pumped up. In the caption for the pic above, Perry writes: “Life worth way more than millions but I still take a risk, you don’t wanna see me win it’s so obvious! But it’ll get greater later…”
Fans are encouraging Perry to keep his head up. One wrote after the VT game: “The jeers will turn into cheers always. You put on one of the best performances in Miami history. Let the doubters keep doubting let em know #DontBeAFanLater”
The Virginia vs. Miami game will be broadcast live on Friday, October 11 at 8 pm on ESPN.
