NBA superstar Kevin Durant has done battle in the trenches with lost of NBA MVPs. In OKC, Durant was teammates with James Harden (2018 NBA MVP) and Russell Westbrook (2017 NBA MVP). While winning two championships at Golden State, Durant teamed with two-time NBA MVP Stephen Curry.
In other words, Durant has seen the highest level of talent the NBA has to offer, and he wasn’t looking up to see it either. Durant himself has won the NBA MVP. So it makes sense to ask him to set us straight on who’s better, who’s the best, stuff like that.
Durant sheepishly obliges and answers the question: Who is a better basketball player, Stephen Curry or Russell Westbrook?
You might expect Durant to have a bunch of reasons and a lot of explaining about basketball nuances when he chooses. But no. Durant thinks quickly and says Steph Curry is better. Why? Because he shoots better. End of story.
