During the Second Round of the 2019 U.S. Open Tennis, former world No. 1 tennis player Karolina “Kaja” Pliskova (currently No. 3) plays against 21-year-old Mariam Bolkvadze of Georgia at Arthur Ashe Stadium on Wednesday, August 28 at 12 noon. Fun fact: Pliskova is working with coach Conchita Martínez, the first Spanish player to win the women’s singles title at Wimbledon, where she beat Martina Navratilova in the 1994 final.
Before arriving in New York City for the US Open, the 27-year-old, 6’1″ Pliskova has been enjoying herself, traveling with her husband of one-year, former TV host Michal Hrdlicka. Both Pliskova and Hrdlicka have tattoos and are in incredible shape!
Her husband has her initials tattooed on the side of his torso!
Check out Michal’s reaction when his wife beat Serena Williams at the Australian Open in January…
