PGA Tour star golfer Patrick Cantlay was once so down about golf and life he didn’t think he’d ever rise to the place where he’s one of the favorites to win the 2019 U.S. Open at Pebble Beach. Back in 2016, Cantlay’s good pal and caddie was killed in a tragic traffic accident. Cantlay took some time to find his way back, but it looks like he’s all the way back now. It’s likely his good sense of humor helped him along.

[Weekend at Bernies, streaming]
Here’s Cantlay in 2017 chilling with four bikini-clad friends, helping him celebrate the weekend. And not just any weekend either — it’s his own homage to the silly movie classic Weekend at Bernie’s. Cantlay easily looks like he could star in a remake and he also looks like the movie’s wardrobe people already set him up with the swag.
BTW, Cantlay was born in 1992, three years after the original Weekend at Bernie’s hit theaters. These days, with Cantlay’s golf resurgence, he tends to post more serious golf-related Instagram work. But it’s good to know he has a sense of humor. It helps. Especially in golf.
