The protagonist of the Hallmark Channel movie A Feeling of Home is Abby Cooper (Jonna Walsh). She run a successful web series, “New England, My Way,” where she’s positioned herself as a young Martha Stewart type. But the truth is she’s from Texas. And when her father, Wes, becomes injured and needs her help on the ranch, Abby returns home.
Wes doesn’t tell Abby that he’s hired her ex-boyfriend Ryan (Nathan Dean Parsons) as the ranch manager. Yes, they fall in love and at the end Abby is torn about where she belongs. P.S. Parsons’s accent is real — he’s from Texas!
Wes is portrayed by Robby Benson. As an actor, Benson is known for his roles in films including Harry & Son (Paul Newman’s son Howard), the tearjerker Ice Castles (Nick Peterson), One on One (Henry Steele), and Jeremy (Jeremy Jones), among others.
As a director Benson is known for his work on the TV series including Jesse, The Naked Truth, Friends, Ellen, and Evening Shade. Benson is also well known for his role as The Beast in the 1991 Disney animated film Beauty and the Beast. A Feeling of Home premieres on Hallmark Channel on Saturday, May 11 at 9 pm.
