Hobbs & Shaw at it again come August 2 and there’s a little nostalgia this time coming from Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. Even the photo the big man chose to share has that sepia tint that basically says this lodges in my memory, this goes deep, this is important.
The Fast & Furious franchise has been so incredibly generous and meaningful to The Rock’s career, landing him in the #1 Hollywood earner spot a number of times and endearing him to fans globally. (This is a franchise that hardly needs translation, a key factor in going international with a blockbuster.)
The Rock reveals that he considered a bunch of different license plate ideas but finally chose the one that, as he writes, “fits me better.” Johnson discarded POPO and LAWMAN for the more visually graphic Pig Daddy. That should give you some idea of what it’ll be like in theaters this summer with Hobbs.
Johnson wrote: “Preppin’ my ride to shoot one last scene for HOBBS & SHAW. I played with a couple ideas for my license plate from LAWMAN to POPO but then decided to go with this. It fits me better.”
