NBA and broadcasting icon Charles Barkley reading the teleprompter is always an adventure. He’s much better speaking off the cuff — especially if you want to hear two or three contradictory ideas in a single sentence.
So when Ernie Johnson wrote Barkley’s teleprompter script, the jokester in Ernie couldn’t help taking a shot at the Chuckster. He gets Barkley to read aloud “I’m a dumbass.” It’s kind of beautiful.

Kenny Smith shouts out, “I can’t believe you read it.” But nothing can top Barkley’s good-humored face after he reads it. It’s just perfect. No wonder these guys keep winning Emmys — they have more fun than anyone on TV and it’s contagious.
