In The Cool Kids episode “Kip Samgood’s Biggest Fan,” Margaret (Vicki Lawrence) helps Sid (Leslie Jordan) meet his teen idol, tambourine player Kip Samgood. At IconCon, Kip’s promoting his Best Tambourine Hits album. Meanwhile, back at Shady Meadows when Charlie (Martin Mull) ditches Hank (David Alan Grier) to hang out with girlfriend, Kathleen (Lesley Ann Warren), Hank goes to great lengths to get Charlie’s attention.
Kip Samgood is portrayed by stand-up comedian Jon Lovitz. He’s known for his roles on Saturday Night Live and in several films including Big (Scotty), Happiness (Andy), A League of Their Own (Ernie), and Adam Sandler films including Hotel Transylvania. The Cool Kids airs Fridays at 8:30 pm on FOX, right after Last Man Standing.
