Social media denizens and commenters are none to sure they appreciate the kid who talks back to his mom in this Buick commercial for the luxurious Envision model. But everyone seems to be in agreement that the mother driving the brand new Buick filled with groceries (in paper bags, of course) is a stylish knockout. Who is this mom? It’s not Karyn Parsons from The Fresh Prince of Bel Air as many speculated. Nope — the beautiful woman showing off her Buick for her son is the stunning actress Presilah Nunez, decades younger than Parsons, and best known for her role as Erica on Tyler Perry’s The Haves and Have Nots. Nunez portrayed Erica from 2015-18. (The mistake can be attributed to the fact that nobody gets any older in reruns, so Parsons is forever twentysomething on the Fresh Prince.)

In the Buick commercial when Nunez says to the boy “look at my big strong man” his response has really bothered some people who think Buick is somehow condoning insolent behavior by America’s youth. Having been co-opted into the not-too-difficult task of carrying groceries into a lovely-looking home, the son says, “Don’t patronize me.” We don’t get the mother’s reaction to that, but Nunez plays her so cool that we’re sure she takes it in stride. Even if the people on the Internet don’t.
Presilah Nunez, a fitness buff, is also known for appearances in Secrets and Lies, Designated Survivor, NCIS: Los Angeles, Dear White People (TV show), Rosewood, and MacGyver, among others. More photos below. Plus Presilah shares how she burnt the Thanksgiving rolls. Still looked amazing doing it.
