GreenBox is a pizza delivery box made out of recycled cardboard that can be broken down into plates and storage containers. The eco-friendly patented pizza box is perforated so the top can tear easily and be separated into four plates. No need to waste paper plates or wash dishes. The bottom is also perforated so that it can bend and fold over the slices you haven’t eaten. It becomes a perfect storage container that fits into any refrigerator.
The business partners behind GreenBox, Ned Kensing and Jen Wright-Laracy of New York City, pitched their business on Shark Tank in January 2015. They went into the Tank seeking an investment of $300,000 in exchange for 10 percent equity and landed a deal with Kevin O’Leary contingent on a licensing deal with a major pizza delivery chain.

GreenBox isn’t just targeting pizza chains either. The innovative company landed a national deal with The Cheesecake Factory and works with a number of national convenience chains, too. And GreenBox continues to serve pizzerias across the world including shops in Australia! See post below. New episodes of Shark Tank air Sundays at 10pm on ABC, right after American Idol.
