On the Seeking Sister Wife episode “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart,” Vanessa’s twin sister Adrienne is still visiting. On a beautiful afternoon around the pool, Adrienne approaches Dimitri and points out, “You’re living quite the life.” When he asks her “in a good or bad way?” she replies, “I’m just curious, I guess, about how it all works.” Dimitri encourages Adrienne to ask away but when she does, his smile fades quickly. When she asks, “Don’t you find it draining to have to look after the emotions and the well-being of two women?” Dimitri laughs, “You mean, is it hard being me?” But seriously, Dimitri tells Adrienne, “I definitely love her. I adore her and I won’t do anything to intentionally hurt her, that’s what I can promise.”
Dimitri knows that Adrienne isn’t feeling it, “She’s giving us the business,” but as he says, “I’m doing the best I can to educate her and give her my perspective.” He knows that “polygamy is a hard pill for people to swallow” especially for Adrienne who is so close to her twin sister. “Adrienne could influence Vanessa and that could be a pressure point for her to move back to Seattle.
