On the Seeking Sister Wife episode “Unforeseen Circumstances,” while Jeff tells his wives about Jennifer’s abrupt exit, the McGees video chat with a potential sister wife. But the most dramatic scene is when Dimitri decides to crash Ashley’s birthday lunch with her mother Donna. He’s not alone. Dimitri decides to surprise Ashley and Ashley’s mom by bringing their new wife Vanessa. When Ashley sees Dimitri and Vanessa approaching the table with flowers in hand, she smiles and laughs and says “Shut up.” Her mother looks around and says, “What is this?”
When Dimitri and Vanessa join them, Dimitri explains that Vanessa is “our significant other.” Donna should win some sort of mother award for her response after being put on the spot like that. She says very calmly, “Whatever’s going on, you know, I’m sure y’all will work those plans out.” After the lunch, Donna tells the camera, “I have no interest in this lifestyle. And I can’t wrap my head around it. I’ve always been told that two queens can’t live in one castle, so, I’m not ready for this.” Seeking Sister Wife airs Sundays at 10 pm on TLC, right after Sister Wives starring Kody Brown and his four wives.
