Former football player and professional wrestler Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is the creator and host of the new physical endurance TV competition, The Titan Games. Eight contenders (four men and four women) test their strength and fortitude as they compete to dethrone a reigning Titan. (The winner gets $100,000.) The two color commentators are Liam McHugh and Alex Mendez.

McHugh is a sportscaster for NBC Sports, where he covers the NHL, Notre Dame Fighting Irish football, and the NFLNBC Sunday Night Football, among others. Prior to NBC, he played basketball soccer at Herricks High School on Long Island before graduating from the University of Buffalo and earning his master’s degree from Syracuse University. More recently, McHugh made his Olympics debut at the 2012 Summer Olympics and his debut as a hockey host at the 2014 Olympic Winter Games in Sochi. In 2017, McHugh filled in for Mike Tirico at Super Bowl LII (2017) with Dan Patrick as a studio co-host for the big game. The Titan Games airs Thursdays at 8 pm on NBC.
