On the Season 5 premiere of The Rap Game, So So Def Records music producer Jermaine Dupri will welcome six new young rappers to the house. All of the teens are hungry to win the grand prize — a record contract with Dupri. While their ages range from 16 to 13, their levels of talent and experience vary. The six competing on Season 5 of The Rap Game are:
- Tyeler Reign, 16, from Los Angeles, opened for Busta Rhymes and Silento
- Nya Kasan, 16, from Detroit with momanger “Ebony the Empress”
- Eli Triplett, 15, from Chattanooga, raised by his single dad
- Queen Amayah, 15, from Miami
- Sire, 14, who lives in a trailer in the Atlanta woods with his family of 10
- Lil Richye, 13, from Charlotte where his family runs a record label

The youngest rapper, Lil Richye, is just 13 but he comes from a family already in the business. With him is his mom, Kesha Porter, president of Let’s Ride Records in Charlotte, North Carolina. Let’s Ride Records also manages Kesha’s younger two sons known as PB3. Kesha calls herself Cookie as in Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) from the FOX music drama Empire. See family red carpet photo below. The Rap Game airs Thursdays at 9 pm on Lifetime.
