On Season 9 of Love & Hip Hop: New York, Rich Dollaz travels to Mississippi for Miracle’s court hearing. Miracle Kaye Hall is the mother of Rich’s 19-year-old daughter Ashley. In March 2018, Miracle shot her husband, who survived and is cooperating with the police. Rich posted Miracle’s $100,000 bail and is now trying to do everything in his power to keep Miracle from going to jail. He’s encouraged when he hears there might be a plea deal on the table.

When Rich comes to her hotel room, Miracle doesn’t even kiss or hug him hello. She simply opens the door and lets him follow her into the room. Miracle tells Rich that her lawyer (a court-appointed public defender) says she’s facing anywhere from two to 20 years in prison for the domestic violence charge. Rich is upset that Miracle didn’t tell him she couldn’t afford a lawyer of her own. But that’s not the biggest problem.

Miracle reveals that if she pleads guilty there’s a chance she’ll get just two years probation, with a felony on her record. When Rich says, “What do you care?” about the felony, Miracle protests, “I don’t want a felony on my record.” Rich can’t believe it, “Why, are you running for governor or something I don’t know about?” Miracle says unless the District Attorney comes with a better offer, “We’re going to have to go to trial.”
Miracle is hoping that at trial, she can tell her side of the story and people can hear the truth. Rich says, “Miracle needs to pull her head out of the sand and realize this is a serious situation.”
Rich pleads with Miracle to consider her three children, and how her time in prison will affect them. Rich reminds viewers at home: “She’s a black woman in Mississippi who shot someone and the victim is cooperating — that, my friends, does not end well.” Love & Hip Hop New York airs Mondays at 8 pm on VH1.
