Married at First Sight is making a big splash for its eighth season. Instead of matchmaking three couples, the relationships experts will have four couples (eight strangers!) to guide into marriage. The four couples are Kristine and Keith; Kate and Luke; Jasmine and Will; and power couple Stephanie and AJ. Stephanie, 35, and AJ, 37, are both career-oriented and are the eldest of the group.
Stephanie is tagged as “desperate for love” while AJ is known as a “solo diner” who works all day at home. “I’ve eaten six and a half out of seven nights a week” alone, says AJ. Were not sure what that half means but we get the point, AJ!
Stephanie and AJ are both high energy people, who love their careers and love being in the city (Philadelphia!). AJ might have a tougher time adjusting to marriage since he’s been single for the past five years. He’s got a big personality with a sweet balance of sentimentality and goofiness. After exchanging vows and getting married, when Stephanie Sersen and AJ Vollmoeller share each other’s age and last names, AJ tells his new bride with nervous laughter, “I might want to take your name.” Season 8 of Married at First Sight premieres at 8 pm on Lifetime on Tuesday, January 1, 2019.
