With The Best of GEICO all over the place these days, the deliriously happy Wednesday Camel is winning laughs all over again. Hump Day baby! The popular ad by The Martin Agency won fans when it was originally released in 2013, but Wednesday is still Wednesday and GEICO is spending big to re-introduce its gleeful camel to fans old and new. (By some counts, GEICO spends a BILLION dollars a year on advertising.)

The camel, who is credited with a “natural swagger” and whose name is Caleb, is voiced by veteran actor Chris Sullivan. The GEICO camel’s signature “Woot! Woot!” was probably Sullivan’s most well-known work — or at least his most watched — until the handsome start landed the role of Toby in NBC’s megahit drama This Is Us.

Sullivan has great style, as evidenced by the sheer quirkiness of cover photo at his site SullyNYC, where he levitates in a floral suit and white shoes. And anyone who heard a certain musicality in the GEICO camel’s utterances won’t be surprised to learn that Sullivan is also a musician. Check out his album (see link above): Sully and the Benevolent Folk. Do it now or wait till Wednesday. Woot! Woot!
