The fun and fit founder of BollyX, Shahil Patel of Boston, pitches his business on Shark Tank on December 9. He knows how to make an entrance — he and a small troupe of dancers perform a quick routine which has guest Shark Rohan Oza on his feet clapping. The other guest Shark, Bethenny Frankel, calls the intro “sexy.” After the performance, the charismatic Patel announces that he’s seeking $375,000 in exchange for eight percent of his business.

This isn’t Patel’s first time on TV. In 2009, Shahil led the first-ever Bollywood dance team, Ishaara, to the quarterfinals of America’s Got Talent (Season 4). Shahil and his troupe of first generation Indian-American college students at the University of California, Berkeley, at the time. For their AGT audition, Ishaara performed to the song “Jai Ho” — which was featured in the Hollywood blockbuster Million Dollar Slumdog.
