In the Married at First Sight: Honeymoon Island episode “Blinded By Love,” the five couples are halfway through their social experiment on the majestic tropical island of St. Lucia. The couple who seemed to have the best connection at first, Isabella and Tyler, are now in serious trouble. As part of a communication exercise, the couples participate in a three-legged race. One is blindfolded while the other directs his/her partner verbally. You would think Isabella and Tyler came in last by the way Isabella reacted after coming in third place.

After the race, all the couples get together for a drink. Isabella complains that she’s not upset about “losing” but about Tyler’s lack of communications skills. (When he calls her a sore loser she denies it and calls him “a bad listener.”) Tyler, like any other reasonable person, doesn’t think a relay race is a big deal. But don’t tell Isabella that. She wants Tyler to acknowledge that they need to work on their communications skills rather than dismissing the race. She gets so worked up that she tells Tyler that he’s arguing with her “like a child” and that she “won’t have it” and walks away.
Okay, now who’s the child? Tyler turns to Chris who tells Tyler, “That’s not your fault, bro,” and we couldn’t agree more. When she locks Tyler out of their hotel room, Isabella says maybe she should have chosen someone else — but there’s no way Chris or Shannon would put up with that kind of attitude. Jona, maybe.
