The protagonist of I Feel Bad is Emet Kamala-Sweetzer (Sarayu Blue). She often feels bad for trying to have it all as a wife, mother and businesswoman. She works in the male-dominated field of video gaming. In the episode “My Kid Has to Grow Up,” she tells her co-workers that she thinks she might be coddling her son Louie too much. The conversation has her male co-workers, Chewey (James Buckley), Norman (Zach Cherry) and Griff (Johnny Pemberton) re-considering their relationships with their mothers, who stop by the office.
