On the Murphy Brown episode “#murphytoo,” everyone who works at Murphy Brown’s (Candice Bergen) TV show must attend a sexual harassment seminar. Murphy makes wisecracks about Frank’s low-cut v-neck t-shirts but she does take things seriously when she has her own #MeToo moment. When a repressed memory of her own surfaces, Murphy confronts her old professor, George Talbot, and demands an apology.
[Yulin was nominated for an Emmy for his role as Jerome the fixer on Frasier]
Murphy Brown’s college professor George Talbot is portrayed by Harris Yulin. The 80-year-old actor is known for his roles on Netflix’s Ozark (Buddy Dieker), Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt (Orson Snyder), 24 (Roger Stanton), and in the films Training Day (Doug Rosselli), Ghostbusters II (The Judge), Clear and Present Danger (James Cutter), Scarface (Mel Bernstein), and Night Moves (Marty Heller), among many other films and shows — like Frasier (see link above) for which he won an Emmy nomination. Murphy Brown airs Thursdays at 9:30pm on CBS, right after Mom and right before S.W.A.T.
