On the Flipping Out episode “The Straw(berry) That Broke the Camel’s Back,” Jeff Lewis freaks out when his grandmother Patty (his mother’s mother) is rushed to the hospital. He releases a big sigh of relief when she’s able to move into a nursing home. When Jeff and Jenni Pulos visit Patty in her new room, they bring pink roses and framed photos of Jeff and his daughter Monroe. His grandmother appears comfortable and in good spirits. While there, Jeff FaceTimes with his daughter Monroe. Patty is the mother of Jeff’s late mother, who died of cancer when Jeff was 18 years old. (Jeff’s father Tom, who is also in real estate, has appeared on Flipping Out over the years.)
Jeff explains: “There’s something about Monroe that really brings my grandmother lots of happiness.” He adds, “Monroe looks a lot like my mom.” He thinks that’s one reason why his grandmother is “very invested in Monroe.” Flipping Out airs Tuesdays at 10 pm on Bravo, right after Below Deck.
Note: Since filming this episode, Jeff Lewis announced in September that his grandmother passed away.
