On Season 27 of Dancing with the Stars, young shining star Milo Manheim has the good fortune of being paired with former Mirror Ball Trophy winner Witney Carson. (Witney won with TV star Alfonso Ribeiro.) On the first night of week 2, Milo and Witney will perform a Charleston to Robin Thicke‘s song “Living in New York City” from his album Paula (named after his now ex-wife, actress Paula Patton). While Thicke is listed as one of the four songwriters of the James Brown-esque groove, he is not a native New Yorker. Son of the late actor Alan Thicke, Robin Thicke is Los Angeles born and bred. However, in 2010, Thicke did live in New York City for a few weeks — he rented an apartment in SoHo and had it converted into a makeshift studio.

Hey, Manheim isn’t a native New Yorker either. But he is, like Thicke, the son of a successful Hollywood actor. The 17-year-old Milo was born and raised in Venice, California by his mother, actress Camryn Manheim. Dancing with the Stars airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8pm on ABC.
