In the movie The Archer, high school archery champion Lauren Pierce (Bailey Noble) beats the crap out of her friend Emily’s (Grace Victoria Cox, Under the Dome) abusive boyfriend. Lauren says it was in self-defense but the judge doesn’t buy her story. The judge orders her to attend a reform camp in the mountains in Utah. Lauren quickly discovers that Paradise Ridge is not a camp but a prison for troubled girls. At Paradise Ridge she meets and befriends Rebecca Rosinsky. Together they hatch a plan to escape. Rebecca is portrayed by Jeanine Mason.
Jeanine Mason is known for her roles on Grey’s Anatomy (Dr. Sam Bello) and Bunheads (Cozette), among others. Or maybe you recognize her from the TV dance competition So You Think You Can Dance — she won Season 5. Mason will appear next in the 2019 reboot of CW’s Roswell — Roswell, New Mexico. Fun fact: She graduated cum laude from UCLA in 2014. The Archer is making its debut on Lifetime Movies on Thursday, August 30 at 8pm.
