The CBS Pink Collar Crimes episode “The She-Wolf of Wall Street” is about former real estate investor Jamila T. Davis. In 2008, the young single mom of two was found guilty of defrauding several banks out of more than $14 million in inflated mortgages for high-end homes in Bergen County, New Jersey. Davis was sentenced to 12.5 years in prison. Her two children, son Kywuan and daughter Diamond, often visited her in prison. While incarcerated, Davis helped Kywuan launch his rap career and a clothing company.

Kywuan Warren is now a twentysomething. A rapper who goes by the name Ky’Lee is also the CEO of Kywuan Terrell Collection, an upscale apparel company for men which includes $50 arm warmers. Warren says his mom, while in prison, helped him come up with concepts and then hand-crochet their fashion ideas in her jail cell. Warren says NBA players Carmelo Anthony, Dwight Howard and James Harden have worn his label as well as rapper Nipsey Hussle. Warren said before her mother was released from prison that he hoped to provide for her just like she once provided for him. Pink Collar Crimes airs Saturdays at 8pm and 9pm on CBS.
