In the Kevin Can Wait Season 2 finale episode “A Band Done,” Kevin (Kevin James) reunites with his former band, Smokefish. (Not Smoked Fish, Smokefish!) Kevin offers to play at his daughter’s restaurant, Enzo’s, and there they catch the eye of talent agent Lance. There are a number of guest stars in this episode including SNL stars Adam Sandler and Chris Rock and Kevin James’ real-life wife Steffiana De La Cruz who appears as Lil.
Music manager Lance is portrayed by Sal Governale, a writer and producer on The Howard Stern Show. Sal used to be a stockbroker who would call into The Howard Stern Show and mock Gary Dell-Abate. Sal eventually was hired as a prank caller and writer for the show. He’s now listed as a producer. Sal also fancies himself a chef. He’s the star of the YouTube channel Big Meals, Small Places with Sal Governale. (He travels around with a toaster oven.) Kevin Can Wait airs Mondays at 8pm on CBS, right before Man with a Plan.
