Who Is Mother Bev’s Boyfriend Lou on ‘Roseanne’?

On the Roseanne episode “No Country for Old Women,” Roseanne’s (Roseanne Barr) mother Bev (90-year-old Academy Award winning actress Estelle Parsons) shows up at her house after getting kicked out of her nursing home. The new house guest has Roseanne and her sister Jackie (Laurie Metcalf) fighting over who will take care of Bev. Little did they know that her boyfriend Lou is still in the picture.

Bev’s boyfriend Lou is portrayed by Christopher Lloyd. The 79-year-old 3x Emmy Award-winning actor is known for his roles on Taxi (Jim Ignatowski), and in films including Back to the Future (Dr. Emmett Brown), Addams Family Values (Uncle Fester), Clue (Professor Plum), Mr. Mom (Larry), and One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest (Taber, see link above), among many others. Roseanne airs Tuesdays at 8pm on ABC, right before The Middle.
