In the Hawaii Five-0 episode, “Ka lala kaukonakona haki ‘ole I ka pa a ka makani Kona. (The Tough Branch That Does Not Break in the Kona Gale)”, Grover (Chi McBride) and Tani (Meaghan Rath) work on a murder case involving art stolen by Nazis. Meanwhile, McGarrett (Alex O’Loughlin) teams up with Junior’s (Beulah Koale) SEAL Team to rescue McGarrett’s mentor, Joe White, who’s being held hostage. Last time we saw Joe White was in the 2015 episode “Pono Kaulike” when he helped Danny (Scott Caan) and Chin Ho (Daniel Dae Kim) when they were arrested for the death of Marco Reyes, who killed Danny’s brother.

Joe White is portrayed by Terry O’Quinn. O’Quinn is known for his roles on The Blacklist (Howard Hargrave), Amazon’s Patriot (Tom Tavner), Secrets and Lies (patriarch John Warner), 666 Park Avenue (Gavin Doran), Lost (John Locke / Man in Black, for which he won an Emmy Award, see link above), The West Wing (General Nicholas Alexander), Alias (FBI Assistant Director Kendall), JAG (Adm. Thomas Boone), and Millennium (Peter Watts), among others. O’Quinn is currently filming the Stephen King TV series on hulu Castle Rock with Sissy Spacek (Carrie). Hawaii Five-0 airs Fridays at 9pm on CBS, right before Blue Bloods.
