The Spooner is a training device that simulates surfing, skateboarding, and snowboarding. The wheel-less skateboard was pitched on Shark Tank in 2016. The three entrepreneurs behind The Spooner — Randy Putland, Bernie Miller, and Ruben Guymer — went into the Tank seeking an investment of $400,000 in exchange for 16 percent. They left with a deal with Barbara Corcoran and Mark Cuban — $200,000 for 8 percent equity of The Spooner.

[The Spooner’s Surfloor Liquid Tiles]
After Shark Tank, The Spooner launched a new product, Surfloor Liquid Tiles. They’re mats with bright cosmic liquids inside that move with every step, jump or hop. Each mat is 19 ½ x 19 ½ inches and comes in four colors (purple, orange, green blue). According to The Spooner, “the bold contrasting and changing color patterns of the Surfloor tiles will stimulate sensory and perceptual development while being mesmerizing fun for all!” The Spooner’s Surfloor Liquid Tiles sell for $44.95. New episodes of Shark Tank (Season 9) air Fridays at 9pm on ABC. [Related: 27 Favorite ‘Shark Tank’ Products]
