In the Man with a Plan episode “Out with the In-Laws,” Andi’s (Liza Synder) parents decide to visit for Easter. That sounds nice but now Andi and Adam (Matt LeBlanc) must try to keep the peace between them, Frank and Alice, and Adam’s parents Bev (Swoosie Kurtz) and Joe (Stacy Keach). It’s not easy.
Andi’s parents are portrayed by Dan Lauria and Nancy Lenehan. Lenehan is known for her roles on People of Earth (Margaret Flood), Veep (Mrs. Ryan), The New Adventures of Old Christine (Principal Marcie), My Name Is Earl (Kay Hickey), Married to the Kellys (Sandy Kelly), and Ellen (Margaret), among many others. Lenehan is also recognized for her roles in the films Sex Tape (Linda) and Catch Me If You Can (the mother of Amy Adams’ character). Fun fact: Lenehan made her acting debut in the 1980 movie Smokey and the Bandit II (Ramona). Man with a Plan airs Mondays at 8:30pm on CBS, right after Kevin Can Wait and right before Superior Donuts.
