The Battle Rounds on The Voice are starting this week. Rookie coach Kelly Clarkson is teaming up with Hailee Steinfeld, the 21-year-old pop star and Oscar-nominated actress (True Grit), to help get her Team Kelly artists ready. For one of the first battles, Kelly has Jorge Eduardo, the 24-year-old Mexican-born singer, pitted against Amber Sauer, the 35-year-old cervical cancer survivor. Together Amber and Jorge are singing Hailee Steinfeld’s song with Grey, “Starving” featuring Zedd. The song was nominated for a Radio Disney Music Award for Best Crush Song in 2016.
“Starving” is Hailee Steinfeld’s highest-charting single to date and that includes her hit song “Love Myself” which was co-written by Julia Michaels, the 24-year-old songwriter phenom advisor to Adam Levine and his artists on The Voice, Season 14. The Voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8pm on NBC.
