In the SEAL Team episode “Call Out,” Jason Hayes (David Boreanaz) and the SEAL Team settle into deployment life. Their new mission – to find who ambushed Echo Team – begins. Mandy (Jessica Paré) interrogates a man who works for a man who killed six American soldiers. Lt. Commander Eric Blackburn (Judd Lormand) asks Jason if he’s too “emotionally involved to make decisions.” Of course they’re going to see it through for the Brotherhood. During the mission, they meet Staff Sergeant Vanessa Ryan who’s been assigned to them for political reasons. The team isn’t thrilled about it but Ryan proves to a valuable asset during a sticky situation.
Staff Sergeant Vanessa Ryan is portrayed by Marsha Thomason. The British actress (born to an English father and Jamaican mother) is known for her roles on The Good Doctor (Dr. Isabel Barnes), NCIS: Los Angeles (Secret Service Agent Nicole Dechamps), Safe House (Katy), White Collar (Diana Barrigan, see link above), Make It or Break It (MJ), General Hospital (Gillian Carlyle), Easy Money (Julia Miller), Lost (Naomi Dorrit), and Las Vegas (Nessa Holt), among others. SEAL Team airs Wednesdays at 10pm on CBS, right after Survivor: Ghost Island.
