In the exclusive clip below from the Little Women: Atlanta episode “Girl Power,” Abira goes with Juicy for her mammogram. After the screening, Juicy meets with the doctor. He asks if she remembers where she got her last mammogram. She doesn’t remember. The doctor says it’s important because “the breasts change over time.”
With a tablet in hand, the doctor shows Juicy the pictures from her mammogram. Juicy is shocked by what she hears from her doctor. “We have what we call nodules. And nodules can be anything in the breast,” says the doctor. “They can be normal or they can be abnormal.” He explains to a quiet Juicy, “In your right breast you have a nodule but it doesn’t look like the rest of them. The density of this nodule is high.” The next step is to do a diagnostic study. Juicy sighs. “Wait a minute, when do I need to come in and do that?” The doctor says “as soon as possible.”
The doctor tells Juicy “the most likely things the nodule could represent is a lymph node or a cyst.” He says very clearly, “We can’t rule out the chance that it’s breast cancer.” Little Women: Atlanta airs Wednesdays at 9/8c on Lifetime.
