The Pop is a colorful silicone baby pacifier that pops when it drops. When it pops, the nipple pops back into a protective bubble, saving the wet nipple from getting dirty. (Note: Babies like to throw things — including pacifiers!) The Pop inventor, Nicki Radzely, is pitching her business on Shark Tank on January 21. Potential investor Kevin “Mr. Wonderful” O’Leary tests the product by sticking one in his mouth which makes everyone in the Tank giddy. Guest Shark Sara Blakely, Spanx CEO and mother of four children under age 8! (see photo below), will certainly be interested in The Pop. Whether she invests or not is another thing. Note: Radzely, the mother of two little ones (ages 4 and 6) says she wore Spanx during her Shark Tank presentation! Radzely says “a second after she [Blakely] first said hello to me” she thought to herself, “if she can do it, my team and I have a chance.”

The pacifier has come a long way since it was first mentioned in a German medical journal in 1473! (Not a typo.) More than 500 years later and pacifiers like The Pop are made of 100 percent BPA-free silicone. The Pop, which retails for $9.99 online (2-pack for $18.99) is designed for babies 3-6 months old and is dishwasher safe. It’s suggested that The Pop is replaced after about two months of use. The Pop is available in cute colors with cute names including: oh happy grey, in teal life, make me blush, corally yours, and pick up lime. New episodes of Shark Tank (Season 9) air Sundays at 9pm and 10pm on ABC. [Related: 27 Favorite Shark Tank Products]
