Brush Hero is a patented water-powered detail brush. It’s designed to remove muck from tires, wheels and rims of cars and trucks but can be used on anything! Two of the inventors of Brush Hero, Kevin Williams and Glenn Archer from Alexandria, Virginia, are pitching their business on Shark Tank on January 21. Of course, it takes a lot of preparation before getting on national TV. Brush Hero had to submit an audition video, which is revealing.

Kevin Williams wrote on the Brush Hero blog that for their audition video they had a shtick with Glenn wearing a fighter helmet, “because we hoped we might get placed on the show with rumored guest shark Richard Branson!” Kevin admits to being “a bit of a fanboy” of the Virgin billionaire Branson. But “the helmet was a total mess” and the microphones didn’t work. Nonetheless they made in into the Tank. And while they didn’t get to present Brush Hero in front of Sir Branson, they did get to pitch in front of Lori Greiner who loves this space. (Remember she invested $200,000 for 20% in Scrub Daddy.) New episodes of Shark Tank (Season 9) air Sundays at 9pm and 10pm on ABC. [Related: 27 Favorite Shark Tank Products — New List]
