In The Goldbergs episode “We Didn’t Start the Fire,” it’s the first night of Hanukkah. Beverly (Wendi McLendon-Covey) dons her best and brightest menorah sweater but her candles flicker when her daughter Erica (Hayley Orrantia) tells her she‘s spending the first night of Hanukkah with Geoff Schwartz (Sam Lerner) and his family. A competition between the families ensues. Bev and Geoff’s father (who’s played by Sam Lerner’s real father Ken Lerner!) argue over a dreidel.
[Check out Sterling as Mitzi in Desperate Housewives]
Geoff’s mother Linda Schwartz is portrayed by Mindy Sterling. She’s known for her roles as Frau Farbissina in the Austin Powers movies, and on Con Man (Bobbie, Curley’s wife), black-ish (Pam), Legit (Janice), and iCarly (Ms. Francine Briggs), Desperate Housewives (Mitzi Kinsky), among many others. Fun fact: She made her acting debut in a 1979 episode of B.J. and the Bear. The Goldbergs airs Wednesdays at 8pm on ABC.

I’m about to binge every season of iCarly. Used to absolutely love this show. I can’t remember Mindy Sterling, however. Great stuff! ? pic.twitter.com/FliVJFg4Ih
