In the Man With a Plan episode “Adam Gets Neighborly,” Adam (Matt LeBlanc) and Andi (Liza Snyder) host a potluck dinner but no one shows up. It’s a slap of reality for the couple. So they “get neighborly” by having their new neighbors Joy and Rudy Randall over for dinner. Rudy is portrayed by Tim Meadows who’s known for his roles on The Goldbergs (Mr. Glascott), The Colbert Report (P.K. Winsome), Mr. Box Office (Principal Theodore Martin), The Bill Engvall Show (Paul DuFrayne), and Saturday Night Live (as various characters including ‘The Ladies’ Man’ Leon Phelps), among others. Fun fact: Meadows made his acting debut in the 1993 film Coneheads as Athletic Cone.
Joy is portrayed by Sherri Shepherd. She’s known for her roles on the TV shows K.C. Undercover (Agent Beverly), Trial & Error (forgetful Anne Flatch), The Soul Man (Nikki), How I Met Your Mother (Daphne), 30 Rock (Angie Jordan), Less Than Perfect (Ramona Platt), Everybody Loves Raymond (Robert’s partner, Sgt.
