Delighted by Hummus is a line of dessert spreads made of sweet-flavored hummus. With the usual chickpeas ingredient is added cinnamon and vanilla beans, among other things. All flavors – vanilla bean, choc-o-mint, brown batter and snickerdoodle – are all natural, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free. The founder of Delighted by Hummus, nutritionist Makenzie Marzluff of Phoenix, Arizona, pitched her yummy business on Shark Tank in October. She went into the Tank seeking a $600,000 investment in exchange for 12 percent equity. She made a deal with Mark Cuban – $600k for 25 percent of Delighted by Hummus.

After Shark Tank, Marzluff said Delighted by Hummus is on its way to hitting the $5 million mark in sales in its second year in business. (She hit the $1 million in her first year.) In addition to getting into more retail stores across the U.S. Delighted by Hummus announced that all four flavors have been certified Kosher. New episodes of Shark Tank (Season 9) air Sundays at 9pm on ABC.
