SmartGurlz is a line of self-balancing robots and action dolls that encourage girls to learn to code. The founder of SmartGurlz, Sharmi Albrechtsen, is pitching her education-driven business on Shark Tank on Sunday, November 12. She has either the good fortune or bad luck of presenting in front of billionaire tech guru Mark Cuban who invested in Roominate, a STEM toy company that designed toys specifically with girls in mind. (After Shark Tank, Roominate was acquired by PlayMonster.)
