Colt Sampson of Spanish Fork, Utah is the inventor of Corky’s Porkys. It’s a barnyard board game that involves six farm animals – Hasty-Hog, Might-Mare, Bounding-Billy, Tenacious-Tex, Power-Pepp, and Rapid-Rooster – and a cowboy hat. To demonstrate Corky’s Porky’s on The Toy Box on Sunday, November 12, Sampson wears his white 12-gallon hat. That’s a smart idea, because the game comes with a cool hat just like it.
Corky’s Porkys is one game, but there are two versions of gameplay. The traditional way is to be the first player to collect each type of barn animal and win. It’s like a straight in poker. The second way is to be the first player to collect all of your animals from the other players. Like four of a kind in poker. Farm Corky’s Special is available for $45 via the Kickstarter campaign. The Double Corky’s Special is $79. The Toy Box airs Sundays at 7pm on ABC, right before America’s Funniest Home Videos.
