In the Criminal Minds episode “Lucky Strikes,” a case triggers personal anxiety for Penelope Garcia (Kirsten Vangsness). Lucky for her, her good friend Derek Morgan (Shemar Moore) comes for a visit and provides emotional support. The case involves a Floyd Feylinn Ferell who has just been released after spending ten years in a mental institution. He’s now staying with his widowed sister who says he’s troubled but not a killer as team suspects. Floyd wears a pair of over-sized eyeglasses and attends bible study at a nearby church.
Floyd is portrayed by Jamie Kennedy. He’s known for his diverse roles on Heartbeat (Dr. Callahan), Ghost Whisperer (Professor Eli James), and in the films Scream (Randy), Romeo + Juliet (Sampson), Clockwatchers (Eddie), Bowfinger (Dave), Three Kings (Walter Wogaman), and Malibu’s Most Wanted (Brad “B-Rad” Gluckman), among others. Criminal Minds airs Wednesdays at 10pm on CBS, right after SEAL Team.
