In the Season 3 premiere of Blindspot, “Back to the Grind,” 18 months have passed since the FBI team split up and Jane’s car accident. A new crisis involving Jane’s brother Roman (XX) brings the team together and takes them to Venice, Italy. In addition to the new scenery, Jane (Jaimie Alexander) gets new tattoos and a new hairdo. She’s gone from a wispy bob to long wavy tresses. And there’s a new FBI Director in town, her name is Eleanor Hirst.

Eleanor is portrayed by Mary Stuart Masterson. She’s known for her TV roles on NCIS (Congresswoman Jenna Flemming), Mercy (Denise Cabe), and Law & Order: SVU (Dr. Rebecca Hendrix). Masterson is also well recognized for her roles in the films Some Kind of Wonderful (drummer Watts), At Close Range (Terry), Fried Green Tomatoes (Idgie), and Benny & Joon (Joon), among others. She made her acting debut in the 1975 film The Stepford Wives (she played her father’s daughter). Blindspot airs Fridays at 8pm on NBC, right before Dateline.
