In the Chicago P.D. episode “Home,” when the team busts a meth lab run by gang leader Marshall Carter, they also uncover a smuggling ring that preys on foreign children who have been adopted by Americans. When Detectives Atwater (LaRoyce Hawkins) and Halstead (Jesse Lee Soffer) show up to one couple’s house, the husband who has been traveling on business comes home only to find out that his wife has given away their child. She tries to tell her husband, “You know how difficult he was. All the problems I was having…” She said she found a website with “a really lovely couple.”
Marshall Carter is portrayed by Aaron Roman Weiner, who usually plays a law enforcer. Weiner is known for his TV roles on The Americans (Agent Brooks) and Crisis (FBI Agent Pender), among others. He’s also a stage actor, a proud member of the LAByrinth Theater Company in New York City. Chicago P.D. airs Wednesdays at 10pm on NBC.
