The protagonist of the new CBS drama Wisdom of the Crowd is tech guru Jeffrey Tanner (Jeremy Piven). Inspired by the murder of his young daughter, Tanner develops a crowdsourcing platform that he hopes will revolutionize crime solving. It works. But the success of the platform still doesn’t elevate the grief he experiences and shares with his ex-wife, Congresswoman Alex Hale.

Alex is portrayed by Monica Potter. She’s known for her roles on Parenthood (Kristina Braverman), True Me (Sarah Krajicek-Hunter), Boston Legal (Lori Colson), and in the films Along Came a Spider (Jezzie Flannigan), Patch Adams (Carin), A Cool, Dry Place (Kate Durrell), and Con Air (Tricia Poe), among others. Wisdom of the Crowd airs Sundays at 8:30pm on CBS.
